In the regional TV news TGR Leonardo, aired on December 26, 2019, there was a talk of 3D4MED, our Clinical 3D Lab located at IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo.
Starting from patient images, a virtual model is created and then 3d printed. The final 3d printed object can provide a truly integrated service tool for surgical planning. Our research team, coordinated by Prof. Ferdinando Auricchio (Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia) and Prof. Andrea Pietrabissa (Unit of General Surgery II of the Policlinico San Matteo), presented an overview about our other 3D printing activities.
