Antonio Terzi

Antonio Terzi(Bergamo, 1925 – Milano, 2001)

Journalist and writer born in Bergamo and by Milano he graduated in philosophy and wrote his first articles on "Il Mondo" by Mario Pannunzio. It was director of weekly publications like "Abc dei ragazzi", from 1964 to 1965, "Gente" and "La Domenica del Corriere". He was also deputy director of the "Corriere della Sera".

He was a fine and critically acclaimed writer, and he wrote five novels. With La sedia scomoda (Torino, Einaudi, 1953; location: Circ. 622) he won, in 1953 the Prize Bagutta for debut novel; in 1981 with La fuga delle api he classified between the finalists of the Campiello Prize ultimately won in 1982 along with the Grinzane Cavour. With L'assoluto sentimentale he was then awarded with the Montefeltro Prize.
