Mazzocchi (responsible for the course) is highly recommended. Practices program includes basic morpho-syntactical structures, including indicative, imperative and subjunctive (present and imperfect tenses) for verbs. To pass all tests forseen for the practices is propedeutic to the exam. Written test includes: dictation, grammar exercises, translation, essay. Students who attend at least 70% of practices, may stand intermediate tests (before Christmas holidays, and at the end of third term, and of fourth term). Passing the three intermediate tests exempts from the final test, except in the case students want to improve their mark.
