Prerequisites
Good knowledge of written and spoken Russian.
Learning outcomes
The course aims to improve knowledge of Russian and of the linguistic skills acquired during previous studies in order to enable students to read and sum up specialized literature orally and in written form.
Course contents
The course aims to improve linguistic skills and is divided into:
1) theoretical part: word order in Russian
2) practical part: reading, oral and written account of specialized texts and current articles; translation from Italian into Russian of specialized texts and current articles.

Students who do not attend the lectures have to read too: * I.I. Kovtunova, //Sovremennyj russkij jazyk. Porjadok slov i aktual''noe clenenie predlozenij//, URSS, Moskva 2002 (except chapter VIII)

Students have to see two films in Russian, chosen by previous agreement with the professor, and write a short paper in Russian on them.
Students have to read a critical essay in Russian, chosen by previous agreement with the professor, and write a summary in Russian.

Students who do not attend the lectures are requested to contact the lecturer.
Materials handed out during the lectures and books included in the bibliography are available in the Foreign Languages and Literature Department.
