LEARNING OBJECTIVE
The course aims to increase students' understanding of discrimination and gender-based violence, helping them develop a greater awareness of these issues. The objective is to equip students with critical thinking skills and the tools necessary to design and implement prevention strategies.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Through theoretical, practical, and application-based sessions, students will acquire specific knowledge to identify conceptual and operational strategies.
The complexity and prevalence of these issues needs a multidisciplinary approach, providing technical and personal skills suiting various professional contexts.
During the course, students will develop project management skills through a dedicated workshop, potentially resulting in a primary or secondary prevention project, which will be considered for the final evaluation.
Course contents
The course begins with a conference focusing on a specific topic and is divided into three modules: psychological-medical, sociological-linguistic, and legal-economic.

The psychological-medical module starts with a reflection on the culture and ethics of respect and how these can alter interpersonal relationships. Experts will discuss sexual, psychological, and witnessed violence. Two interactive and workshop-oriented sessions will focus on the treatment and rehabilitation of abusive men and the design of primary and secondary prevention interventions.

The sociological-linguistic module will explore social and cultural constructs that violate the fundamental rights of women in society. Two sessions will specifically address linguistic representation and gendered language.

The legal-economic module covers national and international laws regarding gender-based violence from both criminal and constitutional perspectives. One session will address financial and economic issues related to gender-based violence.
Teaching methods
The course will include interactive lessons, practical workshops, case studies, and contributions from experts.
Lessons will be held in person, with supplementary materials and slides available via the university platform KIRO.

There will be different final exam programs for attending and non-attending students.
