Son of Teresa Mezzadra and Edoardo Morani, he married in 1893 Luigia Broglia. Notable exponent of the republican democracy of Pavia he a was tenacious worker and father of five, who honored his memory: Dario, dialect poet, director of Alfieri & Lacroix; Aldo, treasurer of the University; Rachele Noemi, secretary of the teaching institute, Lea and Iole, respectively teachers at the elementary school and kindergarten.
He was cashier at Credito Commerciale until 1932.

Involved in social work, he served numerous citizens' associations. As vice president of the Società dei proprietari di case he held activities of free advice to members. He was president of the "ricreatorio laico”, the cashier of the Mutual Aid Society and participated in the organization of Cucina economica.

But his great passions were the local history and theater: his whole life he carefully collected memories of life of his surroundings, particularly the playbills. Frequent visitor of the Fraschini theater, he never missed a work from the stage at his disposal as a cashier of the Company Theatre. He was also a member of the Company Estudiantina and had an uncommon musical sensitivity and a tenor voice for which he was called il “tenorino di via del Brolo".
