Prerequisites
Online entry test "Lingua Tedesca" on KIRO platform of the Language Center (Centro Linguistico) within the beginning of the academic activies 2020/21.

Attendance at the language classes of the Collaboratore ed Esperto Linguistico (Didattica Integrativa / Dott.ssa Heike Fremdling, Dott. Marco Brueckelmann) at the CIM Course (Comunicazione, Innovazione e Multimedialità).

Please save your entry test result in order to choose the correct language course (see: KIRO - "Tedesco per Scienze Politiche e CIM" at Centro Linguistico).

Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able
- to use the main grammar structures and vocabulary of the German language approximately at an A2 level
- to understand and use autonomously a wide range of vocabulary on the A2 level

In particular, CIM students (9 credit points) will be able
- to present a "digital story" related to a topic discussed during the course in German

Political Science students (6 credit points) will be able
- to present one of the topics of the course in German

The parallel activities of the Collaboratore ed Esperto Linguistico will introduce to the main grammar and lexical structures of the German language and deepen students active and passive communication skills at an A2 level.
Course contents
Students will learn about different cultural and social aspects of the German speaking countries.

Students will have the opportunity to deepen their language skills in order to do research and organise information in German
Teaching methods
The didactic method includes innovative teaching approaches ("flipped classroom", collaborative learning) as well as various interactive exercises in class and in distance learning in order to stimulate the use of the foreign language as well as shared moments of discussion and thoughts about the German culture and society.

Regarding the course LINGUA TEDESCA:

Presentations, articles and further material will be available on the KIRO platform - CIM (Corso: Lingua Tedesca 2020/21).

Regarding the lessons of the Collaboratore ed Esperto Linguistico the following material will be used:

1) Beginners
1° SEMESTRE: Akademie Deutsch A1+ (Intensivlehrwerk & Zusatzmaterial) - Band 1 - Hueber Verlag, 2020
2° SEMESTRE: Akademie Deutsch A2+ (Intensivlehrwerk & Zusatzmaterial) - Band 2 - Hueber Verlag, 2020

2) ADVANCED:
Study material will be distributed during the course.

Assessment methods
The final exam is divided into two parts:

1) A WRITTEN TEST regarding the program of the language lessons (Dott.ssa Fremdling - livello A2), which tests skills and abilities in grammar, vocabulary and oral comprehension.
Students who have an official language certification (B1 and higher) only need to take the grammar test.
The written test is valid for 12 months.


2) An ORAL EXAM regarding the course "LINGUA TEDESCA" on behalf of Prof.ssa Berndt

In order to have access to the oral exam you need to pass the written test with a minimum mark of 18/30.

ORAL EXAM fo CIM students (9 credit points):

1) Oral presentation of a "digital story"related to a topic discussed in class
2) Analysis of linguistic items in the presentation (grammar or vocabulary aspects)
3) Contextualization of the content proposed in the presentation and connection to theoretical aspects.

ORAL EXAM for POLITICAL SCIENCES and INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS students (6 credit points):

1) Oral presentation of one of the topics discussed in class (summary and special aspects)
2) Analysis of linguistic items in the presentation (grammar or vocabulary aspects)
3) Contextualization of the content proposed in the presentation and connection to theoretical aspects.

The topics of the presentations can be chosen by the students, but need to be agreed upon with the teacher of the course (Prof.ssa Berndt).

The presentations need to be sent to the attention of Prof.ssa Berndt at least 1 week before the oral exam.

DIDATTICA INTEGRATIVA (Mothertongue language classes):

In order to be assigned to the Didattica Integrativa class appropriate for your level (Dott.ssa Heike Fremdling /heike.fremdling@unipv.it) you need to do the Online Entry Test on the KIRO platform of the Centro Linguistico d'Ateneo.

The result of the test will tell you which course to attend starting from the beginning of the academic year 2020/21. For further information please check KIRO->CLA->Tedesco per Scienze Politiche e CIM.

The timetable of the classes of Dott.ssa Fremdling and Dott. Brueckelmann are published on the website of the Corso di Studi in CIM.

Students with a language certificate (B1 and higher) only need to do the grammar test.
