Fields slowly changing in time. Electromagnetic induction. Faraday-Neumann-Lenz's law. Displacement current. Ampère-Maxwell equations.
Relativistic electrodynamics. Tensor field. Maxwell equations in covariant form.
Teaching methods
Lectures and practical exercise sessions organised by the tutors.
Reccomended or required readings
P. Mazzoldi, M. Nigro, C. Voci 'Fisica Volume II', Edizioni Edises
D.J. Griffiths 'Introduction to Electrodynamics', Pearson
Assessment methods
The exam consists of a written test, shortly followed by an oral test. The written test will contain problems and theory questions, and it represents the largest fraction of the exam. During the semester, tutors will organise simulations, in view of the final exam.
Further information
The course foresees tutoring in support to the frontal lectures. The tutors will organise working groups dedicated to the problem and the previous written exams solutions and discussions.
