Prerequisites
Students are expected to have passed the exam of Arabic 1, first degree. It is requested a basic knowledge of the language (40 hours classes): the equational sentence and its constituents and the verbal sentence.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to read and analyze short socio-political texts. On an oral level, he will be able to describe his daily activities.
Course contents
The second module provides, in addition to the study of the structure of the Arabic Language and the introduction to tenses and moods of the arabic verb (basic and derived forms), the reading and comprehension of texts on the Arabic contemporary society (political systems, international meetings and relationships, introduction to the Arabic press (newspapers and networks)
Teaching methods
Lectures (grammar exercises, reading and comprehension of authentic texts) with the help of multimedia tools. In addition to group interaction actvities.

Assessment methods
The exam consists of written and oral tests. The written exam will consist in a written comprehension and in grammar exercises. The oral exam will consist in reading and translating the texts treated during the lessons and in a conversation with the mother tongue teacher.
Further information
A constant frequency of lessons is required, included the supplementary teaching classes with the mother tongue teacher.
