Prerequisites
Elements of classical mechanics and Calculus
Learning outcomes
Basic concepts of Electromagnetism including its four-dimensional formulation
Course contents
The course starts from the concept of electric charge to describe the static electric field and the static magnetic field. Are then introduced the time-varying fields up to their complete description by the Maxwell equations in integral and differential form. Follows an introduction to the theory of relativity with the use of four-dimensional formalism. Cinematic, dynamics, electromagnetism are presented and to finally write Maxwell's equations using the tensor field and the four-potential
Teaching methods
Lectures and practical exercises.
Reccomended or required readings

Assessment methods
The exam consists of a written test with some simple problems, followed by an oral test. The student can take the oral exam regardless of the mark obtained in the written test.
