Prerequisites
Students who passed the achievement test of Japanese Language I (advanced course) can take the Japanese Language II advanced course.
Learning outcomes
Students will reach the pre-intermediate A2/B1 communicative language competences, according to the JF standard for the Japanese Language Education.
Students can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.; can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken; can produce simple connected text on topics, which are familiar, or of personal interest; can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
Course contents
Students will learn how to talk about a friend's recent news with another friend; find out about what things other people are worried about and report the results with your comments; ask something to someone you do not know when travelling; show politeness to a visitor
Students will also read simple article from Japanese newspapers and produce simple presentations on familiar topic.

Assessment methods
Achievement test will be both written and oral. Students who fail to pass written exam will not be admitted to the oral examination.
Further information
Students are required to attend classes regularly and take part in group activities with the Japanese Language Instructor.
