Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of the Arabic language is required. Students who, during the admission interview, showed a not adequate level of knowledge must follow, in the first semester, the course of Arabic 1, first degree, and the supplementary seminar.
Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with the linguistic tools for a) understanding and translating the news provided by the Arabic media (print,television, internet); b) searching information by themselves on the main Arabic websites.
Course contents
In this module, students will learn the language of the Arab media and the use of the more widespread syntactic structures, with special reference to the language of the meetings and conferences, elections and demnstrations.

Assessment methods
The exam consists of written and oral tests.

The course consists of two compulsory modules, Advanced Arabic 1 and Advanced Arabic 2; 9 credits for each module.
