Learning outcomes
The official language teaching objectives are to develop students' language skills, both oral and written (level A2, according to the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for Languages). The course also aims to provide knowledge on Spanish culture and actual topics.
Course contents
Basic aspects of the Spanish grammar: indefinidos, numerales, ser/estar, auxiliares, estar + gerundio, preposiciones, indicativo presentes pasados y futuro, verbos regulares e irregulares, contraste pretérito perfecto/indefinido, imperativo afirmativo. Cultural and linguistic aspects of Spanish.
Teaching methods
Lessons will be held with frontal lessons, grammar exercises, reading and comprehension of current and cultural texts. Multimedia tools will also be used.

Assessment methods
Written exams (compulsory and preparatory to the test of the official course) will be carried out with written tests according to the Department schedule.
Written exams consist of: grammar exercises, written comprehension, written production. The use of the dictionary is not permitted.
Oral exams (official course) consist of: discussion of theoretical aspects of language and commentary on films and novels
The final mark of the course will also take into account the written written exam.
Further information
The written global grammar test has a validity of one year. After that term, students will have to do it again to present themselves to the oral exam.
