Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the principles of "ecdotica", substantiated with the analysis and interpretation of selected romance texts.
Course contents
"Le mantel mautaillié", or "Lai du cort mantel": an Old French short tale of the late 12th century.
Analysis of the Language and Commentary.
Manuscripts, editions, textual criticism.
