Prerequisites
Acquisition of the level implied by the attainment of the Lingua Spagnola I exam (9CFU).
Learning outcomes
Detailed study of the historical evolution of the Spanish language, with particular emphasis on phonetic, morphological and syntactic phenomena, in an era of major social and political changes.
Course contents
Introduction to the framework concepts related to the study of the historical evolution of language, especially with reference to literary texts. Panoramic study of the evolution of Spanish, according to the following periodization:
1-Primitive and Archaic Spanish (ss.IX-XII).
2-Period of Alfonso X El Sabio (ss.XIII-XIV).
3-From medieval to classic Spanish (s.XV)
4-Spanish of the Siglo de Oro (ss.XVI-XVII)
5-Modern and Contemporary Spanish (ss.XVIII-XIX)
Teaching methods
Frontal teaching in Spanish. It is foreseen the projection of texts on which to observe and discuss the phenomena observed at a theoretical level.

Assessment methods
Written test with open answers. The test will be divided into a theoretical part and an analysis of a textual fragment.
