Prerequisites
Knowledge of the basics of Italian grammar, reading competence and stylistic analysis.
Learning outcomes
Recognition of different text types, comprehension and text analysis; introduction to the grammatical and stylistic reading of text; mastery of writing and communicative skills.
Course contents
The course will start with the analysis of different types of texts in order to highlight the linguistic features typical of every typology and thei function in different communication strategies.
Moving from the analysis, rewrite and summary excersises will be presented, in order to strengthen linguistic awareness and stylistic skills.
Teaching methods
Lectures; tutorials with collective revision.
Reccomended or required readings
Fabio Rossi - Fabio Ruggiano, Scrivere in italiano. Dalla pratica alla teoria, Roma, Carocci, 2013 (chapters 1-8).

Other bibliographical references, supplementary and detailed, will be given during the course.
Assessment methods
A written test is expected in order to verify the proficiency gained during the course.
