Prerequisites
Students must have previously passed the examination of Lingua e Letteratura latina (avanced course) and Letteratura latina 1 (avanced course).
Learning outcomes
Deepening of language skills by learning the historical evolution of Latin (phonetic, morphology and syntax). The course will provide an adequate specimen of this development, through the examination and interpretation of texts from different historical periods to deepen the language skills and also to acquire teaching method
Course contents
Analysis of some relevant phonetic, morphological and syntactic elements of Latin language in diachronic perspective.

Linguistic and lexical notes on some archaic texts.
Teaching methods
Lectures: reading, commenting, and textual interpretation, with a review and deepening of diachronic morphosynthax

Assessment methods
Oral text.
First: Reading and linguistic interpretation of a few passages from the assigned texts. Second: Showing of the theoretical knowledge of the contents of the manual. Third: Methodology of historical-linguistic interpretation of the texts commented during the lectures.
