Learning outcomes
The course gives the methodological background for planning researches in clinical area and tools for the description and interpretation of data.
Students will learn how to choose the statistical tools, based on the type of variables selected. Moreover, stidents will learn how to interpret descriptive results and association between variables.
Course contents
Introduction to Statistic and research planning
Research Protocol
- Population, sample and sampling methods (simple random sampling; stratified random sampling; cluster sampling). Introduction to sample size
- Data organisation: database and dataset
