Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing the knowledge for carrying out quantitative measurements of the kinematics and dynamics of the athletic gesture, their acquisition and quantitative analysis. Use of simple biomechanical models for the interpretation and the prediction of the performance.

Recapitulation summaries on mathematics and vector calculations
• Transducers, measurement and calibration chains.
• Noise, estimate and regression
• Signals of interest - acquisition: sampling and quantization.
• Time and frequency representation
• Kinematics of a point and of a rigid body.
• Articular kinematics
• Ergometry
• Accelerometry and inertial sensors
• Stereophotogrammetry for motion analysis
Teaching methods
Explanatory classes with slides and practical data analysis scenarios in Excel.
