Course contents
The course outlines the development of the sources of the law and the European legal culture in the Middle Ages (VI-XV centuries).
It examines the law schools, the methods of interpretation and the administration of the justice, paying attention to both private and public branches of the law. It focuses on the evolution of ius commune, by a comparison of the laws of the European nations.
It discusses critically and analitically the statutes, the jurisprudence and the decisions of the courts.
