Course contents
The class proposes the study of peculiar themes in the history of Christianity, to the scope of spelling out its fundamental structures, through the diachronic analysis of a characteristic aspect alongside the events. The essays of Salvatore Pricoco, Grado Giovanni Merlo e Daniele Menozzi, on Cristianesimo, edited by G. Filoramo, Laterza, Roma-Bari 2007, provides the common basis for this class.
This course focuses on three pivotal moments of the history of Christianity. The close analysis of these three different, but interconnected, contexts is designed to provide a unitary and consistent understanding of the history of Christianity over two millenniums.
