Basic knowledge of informatics.
Learning outcomes
Methods, tools and standards aimed at promoting historical studies and cultural heritage (i.e. virtual exhibitions) will be discussed and tested by creating a digital resource.
Course contents
Virtual exhibitions: models, tools, and standards.
Storytelling. Licenses. Users' involvement (crowdsourcing and blog posting)
Teaching methods
The course will be held as a seminar. Following a brief presentation of the state of the art, students will be assigned the theme of the virtual exhibition which they will then develop in collaboration. An active participation (at least 2/3 of the lessons) is therefore highly desirable. Students will be asked to present their share in the common work.

Assessment methods
Students are required to create and present a virtual exhibition on a topic of their choice. Criteria adopted in reason of targeted visitors as well as of classes of items included in the exhibition will also be evaluated.
