Prerequisites
Knowledge of the basics of Italian grammar, reading competence and stylistic analysis.
Erasmus students are expected to have a good knowledge of Italian language (B1/B2).
Learning outcomes
Recognition of different text types, comprehension and text analysis. Introduction to the grammatical and stylistic reading of text. Mastery of writing and communicative skills.
Course contents
The course aims to describe the architecture of the italian language and the several varieties of the contemporary Italian language, with specific attention to sectorial languages and diaphasic variation in written Italian. Moving from analysis, rewrite and summary excersises, the students will be stimulated to improve their own communicative competence and stylistic skills.
Teaching methods
Lectures and tutorials with collective revision.

Assessment methods
Students will have a written exam, structured in open-ended questions or multiple choice questions, concerning the study on manual and the topics of the course, and exercises similar to those discussed in class.

Non-attending student will have a different written exam, structured in open-ended questions or multiple choice questions concerning the study on manuals, and exercises similar to those included in the manual of Fabio Rossi and Fabio Ruggiano.
