Prerequisites
Have already acquired at least 12 CFU related to Italian Literature.
Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the main tools and methods of study relating to the discipline, and to expand the canon of authors and texts covered during the 1st course of Italian Literature.
Course contents
Core lectures: The Italian Literature of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

Monographic lectures: Scapigliatura movement. Genesis, story, thematic and stylistic analysis of texts.
Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars. Seminars will discuss the fundamental tools to study Italian literature (both in paper and digital format). Attendance is strongly recommended. In some exceptional and documented circumstances, it may be possible to agree with the instructor an individual exam program.

Assessment methods
Oral examinations. The examination verifies: 1) knowledge of the history of Italian literature of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and the texts of the authors outlined in "Fresca rosa aulentissima", vol. 3 (see Reference texts); 2) knowledge of topics illustrated and analysed throughout the course.
