Specific technical competences are not required. However the knowledge of Internet-based services and familiarity with the logic of online communication can help.

The course takes up and updates the content already developed during the previous academic year. It introduces students to the experience of networked literary writing and reading enabled by online sharing platforms (the so called "social reading").

The course will take in consideration the following topics:
1) The meaning of reading
2) Literary texts and reader position
3) Text, intertestuality and literature
4) Hypertexts
5) Reading as a social experience
6) Social reading/cataloguing
platforms

The course incorporates a laboratory. During the lessons the students – individually or divided into groups – will have the opportunity to participate in one of the projects of reading and rewriting on Twitter promoted by the Cultural Association Twitteratura.
