Prerequisites
A good knowledge of Greek morphemics and syntax.
Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is investigating some problems of historical morphemics and syntax of Greek in order to approach the linguistic and formal characteristics of the ancient texts in a more conscious and analytic manner.
Course contents
Title of the course:
Various problems of Greek morphemics, syntax and lexicon.

Program:
- Deep knowledge of the problems of morphemics, syntax and lexicon discussed during the lectures.
- Reading, translation and commentary of Hdt. 1,1-70, Luc. Rhetorum praeceptor and some fragments of archaic poetry with bibliography, discussed during the lectures, distributed in photocopy and then made available at Petrarch Library (Division of Classical Philology).

Provided that, for the specificity of the topics covered, frequency is highly recommended, not attending students should contact the lecturer in order to agree on a plan of alternative readings.

- J. Humbert, Syntaxe grecque, Paris 1986 (III éd.).
