Learning outcomes
The course examines the literature of the twentieth century with particular concern to literature since 1945. On the basis of a wide anthology in PDF format and some texts to be analyzed in full, it is intended to illustrate the variety of problematic issues relating to individual works and to literary genres, with links to the history and culture of the period.
Course contents
The course offers a description in the form of a compendium of German literature from 1945 till today. A wide anthology of texts in PDF format will help to illustrate the variety of literary production. The analysis of some representative works will provide the necessary knowledge in order to better understand the literary discourses of this period.
Teaching methods
Lectures based on powerpoint slides, written texts, videos and films.
