A good knowledge of Italian

The course aims to introduce the basic contents and instruments of Italian
literature, and to provide a more specific competence on issues, moments
and authors copies of Italian literary tradition, investigated in the texts
and in the secondary bibliography.

A reading of Pascoli.In the course will be analysed some poems of different periods, with regard to Pascoli's poetic language in relation to the symbolism in Europe.

Since the bibliography on Pascoli is so wide, here you can find the works more used during the course: G. Pascoli, Opere, I, a cura di M. Perugi, Milano-Napoli, Ricciardi, 1980; Poemi conviviali, a cura di G. Nava, Torino, Einaudi, 2008; Antologia pascoliana, a cura di P.V. Mengaldo, Roma, Carocci, 2014. Further information will be given during the lessons.
