Gli studenti del secondo anno devono aver sostenuto gli esami di Lingua e Letteratura inglese 1; gli studenti del terzo anno devono aver sostenuto gli esami di Lingua e Letteratura inglese 2 prima di poter sostenere l'esame.
Si richiede una conoscenza della lingua inglese tale da consentire di poter seguire le lezioni, leggere i testi e sostenere l'esame in lingua inglese.

Obiettivo formativo del corso è iniziare lo studente all'analisi del rapporto tra singoli testi letterari e il contesto culturale da cui sono sorti.

Il modulo intende offrire agli studenti una base di lavoro per comprendere la complessità dei periodi in esame, analizzando testi letterari del diciottesimo e diciannovesimo secolo. Durante le lezioni si leggeranno e commenteranno testi poetici dei principali autori inglesi. L'elenco dei brani letti durante le lezioni e da preparare per l'esame orale (anche per gli studenti non frequentanti) sarà a disposizione presso la sezione di Anglistica. Tutti gli studenti leggeranno autonomamente tre romanzi tra quelli indicati sotto.
