Prerequisites
Having passed the examinations of the History of Medieval Philosophy and History of Ancient Philosophy.
Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce the analysis of the conceptual apparatus and rhetorical strategies of the main moral teachings, making constant reference to historical and cultural context in which they are produced.
Course contents
Thomas Aquinas - The system of virtues
Through the comment of some passages of the second part of Summa Theologica, the course aims to analyse the concept, the classification and the dynamics of the virtues in the context of psychology, ethics and theology of Thomas Aquinas.

Assessment methods
For students attending : oral examination.
Any exercises done by students in the final part of the module will be also evaluated.
For students not attending: oral and written examination.
Starting from bibliographies allocated, whatever the program to be agreed, it must make a written report to be sent by mail to the teacher a few days before the examination. The report will be presented and discussed during the examination.
