Prerequisites
Modern Language students must have passed the second-year French Language Examination. Students from other disciplines whose knowledge of French is not up to standard are required to have passed the Language examination before taking the Literature Exam
Learning outcomes
Besides offering a broad perspective in historical and literary terms, the course, with the analysis of highly significant texts, is intended to provide basic methodological capacities (philological, or thematic, or narratological, or semiotic, or linguistic) for the analysis of the literary text.
