Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with tools and methods to read and understand social phenomena and to introduce the source of data to describe them.
Course contents
The course is made up of two modules. Module A looks at: surveys in social research; the official statistical sources; sampling designs; methods of data collection; the questionnaire; scales; social indicators; education indicators; electoral statistics. Module B consists of laboratory activities (exercises through the use of computers, teaching cases) in a computer room.
