Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites are required. It would be helpful to have a good understanding of Cinema history and current media industry, from social media to digital video
Learning outcomes
Through analysis of tv history and the main tv business models, the course provides knowledge and tools in order to comprehend tv proposition in its short and long-term evolution, considering production, distribution and content consumption
Course contents
The course is organized in 3 different parts:
1. History of television in Italy: from its links with politics to its key role in Italian society
2. The raise of Complex Tv with a focus on tv series content
3. Hyper-offer era and how Tv has changed in the last decade: market, technology, production and distribution models, content consumption

Assessment methods
The exam consists in a written test and in an oral examination in which will be verified the main notions of the course. Oral test is subject to be successful in the written test.
For attending students, it is possible, in addition, to arrange the analysis of a television program to be agreed with the teacher
