Learning outcomes
knowledge and skills useful to better interface with subjects in the age of development and not; know how to adapt and integrating professional skills in the motor/sports field to the target audience, (in educational and training contexts); be able to adequately communicate the knowledge learned.
Course contents
The course presents the basic notions of developmental psychology, starting from the main theoretical reference models to arrive at application examples related to sports activities.
In detail, the following issues will be addressed:
- physical and brain development;
- motor development;
- cognitive development;
- social and emotional development and moral development;
- theories of learning (behavioural, socio-cognitive, cognitive)
- differences in learning and special educational needs;
- interactions within and between groups: prejudices and social stereotypes bullying and aggression; assertive communication and resilience;
- learning and motivation.
Teaching methods
Frontal lessons and practical workshop (with slide support, provided via the Kiro platform), individual exercises and group-work.

Assessment methods
The exam consists of a written part (20 points) and an oral part (10 points).
The written part consists of a closed-answer test (10 points) and a semi-structured written test (10 points) for a duration of 30 minutes.
Students who attend the lessons regularly (at least 70%) can opt for a progressive evaluation in the form of partial tests in progress (during the course). Non-attending students (attendance less than 70%) will be evaluated with similar tests administered globally in the winter, summer and autumn sessions.
The final vote is expressed in 30th place and corresponds to the sum of the partial votes. During the exam we will evaluate how the student has integrated the knowledge acquired and then the level of achievement of the training objectives of the course.
The assessment will also take into account communication skills and the use of appropriate scientific language.
