Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of developmental psychology is an appreciable, yet nonmandatory, prerequisite.
Learning outcomes
This course aims at developing knowledge and understanding in several key areas of Developmental Psychopathology:
(a)Advanced comprehension of theoretical models and the interpretation of experimental data with reference to Developmental Psychopathology
(b) Profound understanding of the methods and experimental techniques employed within the field of Developmental Psychopathology
Furthermore, the course aims to cultivate the ability to apply this knowledge and understanding effectively by:
(a) enhancing proficiency in executing and assessing applications within experimental contexts in the area of Developmental Psychopathology
(b) promoting of critical thinking, analytical prowess, and the synthesis of ideas in the area of Developmental Psychopathology
Course contents
The course is organized into 3 sections. Section 1 (principles) introduces the basic principles of developmental psychopathology from a perspective inspired by dynamic systems and infant research. Section 2 (method) introduces an evolutionary view of developmental psychopathology and major diagnostic categorizations. Section 3 (clinical practice) introduces the methodology of collaborative assessment and video feedback through clinical cases and role-playing.
Teaching methods
The course will adopt a variety of teaching methods to provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. This includes: lectures and interactive discussions on clinical cases and scientific papers. The course aims to provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages active student participation and promotes a deep understanding of the topics.

Suggested scientific papers and volumes will be signaled during the course. The course materials will be made available on the e-learning page of this course.
Assessment methods
The evaluation method is oral exam. The content includes both slides and suggested bibliography.
