Prerequisites
Knowledge of general psychology (perception, emotion, attention, memory, reasoning) and the main statistical methods.
Learning outcomes
The course will consider psychopathology and related research methods.
Course contents
- Fundamentals of general psychopathology and clinical psychiatry (mood disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, substance use disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, dementias, eating disorders)
- - Research methodology in psychopathology (epidemiology, observational studies, clinical trials, meta-analyses)
Teaching methods
Lectures, in class discussions of scientific articles, and interactive work in groups.
Reccomended or required readings
Slides and scientific articles for discussion will be provided by the lecturer during the course.

Assessment methods
Written exam (30 multiple choice questions).
A maximum of 2 bonus points can be accumulated the presentation of an optional research project only for students who have attended at least 75% of the classes.
