Prerequisites
Advanced knowledge on cognitive processes and methods in
neuroscience and experimental psychology.
Learning outcomes
This course is designed to familiarize the student with typical methods
and techniques employed in psychology research.
Course contents
The course introduces students to experimental research methodology,
with an overview of basic concepts such as experimental variables,
experimental control, and causal inferences. We will also describe the
principles of experimental design and analyses and we will discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of experimental methodology in different
research contexts. Teaching methods include both lectures and practical
works on published papers.
