Prerequisites
The student should have the basic psychodynamic and clinical fundamentals necessary for the diagnostic framing of a case, as well as the fundamentals of developmental psychology.
Learning outcomes
To sensitize the student to the fondamentals of the psychopathology of eating behavior and to the most relevant problems of clinical practice with patients souffring from anorexia, bulimia and BED.
Course contents
In this course the fundamentals of the psychopathology of eating behavior and the most relevant clinical aspects of eating disorders will be exposed. Particular attention will be paid to the diagnostic framework, both on the descriptive side (referring to the main international classification systems: DSM5 TR, ICD10, PDM2), and on the structural side of the psychoanalytic approach.
Teaching methods
Lectures (on the clinical foundations of food psychopathologies, descriptive and structural frameworks, and then indications on the treatment), and discussion on clinical cases (where to put the acquired knowledge into play).

Assessment methods
The mode of verification of learning will be through an oral examination. In this, the student will have to demonstrate that he/she has assimilated the psychodynamic and clinical fundamentals of the psychopathology of eating behaviour, and that he/she is able to diagnose a clinical case of a patient with an eating disorder.
While you are free to renounce a positive assessment awarded, you are advised not to reject a grade more than once. In the case of refusal of a positive assessment and a subsequent assessment, the last assessment achieved must be taken into account.
