Learning outcomes
This course aims to give to students knowledge about the main practices of Human Resources Management, on the basis of both individual and contextual (organizational and socio-economic) needs. The course will examine the main steps of the personnel management in work organizations: recruiting and selection, assessment and development, and withdrawn from the labour market.
Course contents
The course will focus on:
- origin and development of the discipline
- professional guidance
- personnel recruiting and selection
- professional training
- personnel assessment
- compensation strategies
- work and non-work life balance
- international and diversity management
- outplacement
Teaching methods
The teaching method used in this course will include two types of activities:
- lectures on theoretical and practical contents
- learning evaluation.

The exam will be based on the following book:

Students have to entirely study this book.
Assessment methods
The learning evaluation will be based on a written exam.
Attending students will have the opportunity to take the examination through a pre-test (further information will be provided by the professor during the course).
For not attending students, a questionnaire containing open questions will be provided.
