Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of developmental psychology and cognitive psychology corresponding to the courses of Developmental Psychology and General Psychology
Learning outcomes
The course aims to offer up-to-date knowledge in the field of psychology of cognitive development of the entire life cycle with explicit reference to the scientific research conducted in this area
At the end of the course the student will be able to analyze a scientific article, communicate the results present in it and carry out a critical analysis of the literature.
Course contents
The course is divided into a general part and a monographic part. In the general part the main approaches to the study of cognitive development and the related investigation methodologies will be presented. The monographic part will deal with the topic of socio-cognitive development over a lifetime with particular reference to the development of the theory of mind. Evaluation tests and intervention programs will be presented for the different developmental phases.
Teaching methods
Lectures will be in presence. Power point presentations will be used and will be uploaded in the section dedicated to teaching on the KIRO platform.

Assessment methods
The exam will be held in a written form with open questions.
Students will be able to receive additional points from the work presented in the classroom. The supplementary score, expressed out of thirty, is valid for the entire academic year. The final score will be the average of the two marks obtained.
Acceptance of the supplementary score is at the discretion of the student, who can therefore decide at the appeal stage to maintain even only the appeal grade.

It is not allowed to reject the vote obtained more than once. The student is required to accept the mark obtained in the last session taken.
