Learning outcomes
The Psychology of social cognition investigates both cognitive mechanisms and neural basis of our social behaviour, that is, the ability to recognize, understand and relate to others
Students will have the opportunity to learn and discuss the most recent topics inherent to research on the social brain.
Each year, one topic will be explored more than others, giving the student the opportunity to understand the complexity and variety of the social neurosciences.
Course contents
The Autism Spectrum Disorder will be presented and discussed along with the ability to attribute mental states to others, the ability to feel emotions, and the ability to empathise. Different clinical tests will be presented with particular attention to psychology of suicidal phenomenon.
