Learning outcomes
The educational goals of the course are to provide students with those useful tools to know and apply in the clinical practice of psychodiagnosis, with particular reference to the developmental age. When we talk about psychodiagnostic evaluation we refer to an activity used daily in the Child Neuropsychiatry Services. Therefore, starting from the theoretical knowledge of child psychology and psychoanalysis, we will try to train and inform students on the appropriate ways to develop sufficient competence in conducting a clinical evaluation activity; starting from the clinical interview to the various assessment tools such as tests that allow the formulation of a diagnostic hypothesis, to the restitution interview where this hypothesis will be communicated. The learning outcomes will be shared from time to time, with discussions of the various issues addressed.
Course contents
Definition and technique of psychodiagnostic assessment in developmental age. The conduct of the clinical interview, main tool of the evaluation, and its definition in differential diagnosis with the anamnesis will be treated in depth. Long time will take the illustration of the first interview, perhaps the most important of all, of the concept of welcome, clarity of information and listening which must be very respectful, non-judgmental; the concept of therapeutic alliance, necessary to conduct an effective evaluation, will be treated extensively.
Furthermore, the pathologies and / or disorders for which the assessment is carried out will be taken into account, (e.g. behavioural disorders, learning disorders, etc.) as well as the organization, skills and professional roles and the way of operating of the specialists team, with particular reference to Child Neuropsychiatry Services. There will also be space for tests, starting from the intellectual test (Raven, Wisch IV) to projective tests, to those used in neuropsychological assessments for learning disorders (attention, memory, visual-spatial integration tests).
Even the return interview will be treated with its actual importance: the communication of the diagnostic hypothesis, along with the possibly recommended therapeutic rehabilitation project, is in fact very important.
Teaching methods
The teaching method is interactive: it involves the participation of students who implement the technique of the main tool of psychodiagnostic evaluation, i.e. the clinical interview

Assessment methods
A verification of the contents (the modality of which will be communicated to the students) and attendance will be carried out
