Learning outcomes
Students attending this course will learn about the psychological mechanisms subserving human behavior, with a focus on the current debate on the scientific bases of Psychology.
At the end of this course, students will understand and be able to apply principles of the scientific method and critical thinking.
Course contents
The course will be focused on:
- attentional processes and consciousness;
- perception;
- most popular models of human memory;
- processes subserving human learning;
- intelligence;
- motivation and emotion;
- human communication;
- personality traits.
Teaching methods
The classes will offer an overview of the contents of this course and will also be the ideal occasion for answering to the students’ questions and curiosities. There will also be dedicated time for discussing the most important and interesting theoretical and methodological aspects.
