Prerequisites
The course defines the disciplinary perimeter of Nursing and it is
propedeutic to the courses of Nursing Clinic I Applied nursing
methodology. The beginner part of the program of the APPLIED QUALITATIVE NURSING RESEARCH course aims to structure a conceptual and language base to standardize basic knowledge.
Learning outcomes
The course aims to promote understanding of the field of action and
nursing competence
From the historical research conducted by M. Francoise Collière about the
genesis of care developed by men and women with the aim to maintain
health and life and perpetuate the existence of the groups, it will set out
the birth and evolution of the function.
Questioning directly situations related to nursing care, will be analyzed
and commented on the fundamental theoretical writings of some of the
nursing: Florence Nigthingale (1820 -1910), Virginia Henderson ((1897 -
1996), M.Francoise Collière (1930-2005) Patricia Benner (1942).
The analysis of their thinking borned from observation, from the
experience of care capable of connecting health promotion and
treatment of the disease and from the relationship understood as
irreplaceable qualities in acting care, will promote the identification of the
nursing function. Attending the course will allow the student to analyze
and define the fundamental characteristics of the nursing function.
The analysis of their thinking born from observation, from the experience

attending the course will enable the student to analyze and define the
fundamental characteristics of the nursing function.
The nursing function occurs in the intersection between treatments that
maintain health, promote adaptations in daily life, healing processes and
treatments that treat the disease.
Such treatments that affect the healthy and sick person considered in the
different living environments, the home, the community, the hospital,
rest on the needs of life and human health..Starting from this founding
and organizing element, the understanding of the treatment situation will
be promoted through a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach capable
of grasping the different dimensions that weave the nature of the needs
and the meaning attributed by the curates.
At the end of the course students will be able to apply this knowledge to
nursing situations
Course contents
The organization of the contents will be implemented starting from the
nursing skills identified as part of the Tuning Educational Structures in
Europe Project.
