Prerequisites
A good knowledge of the main theories of developmental psychology.


To take the exam, it is compulsory to have taken the Developmental Psychology exam
Learning outcomes
The course aims to present and analyze the most recent theoretical perspectives of the discipline through the analysis of cognitive, affective and relationship components of the individual in relation to his specific context, focusing on the relationship between psychological development and education.
Specifically, the course will present the main epistemological conceptual frameworks and the methodological approaches of educational psychology in relation to specific issues of the school context, such as the main psychological functions underlying learning, school motivation, social and relaizonal diennsione learning, as well as the role of the teacher within the educational relationship.

The following areas will be explored with specialized modules: socio-emotional development, management of classroom dynamics, aggressive relationships (with a special emphasis on bullying and cyberbullying), development of potential, vocational pathways.

The course will consist of basic and advanced modules.

 The development of potential and giftedness
• Cognitive assessment
• Socio-emotional assessment
• Effective learning environments

 Vocational pathways
• Constructs related to the Self: self-efficacy, locus of control, coping strategies.
• Decision making
• Evaluation of competences

 Media education
•Media Education Theories and Techniques: Introduction to Distance Digital Teaching
• Media education to school and in the educational contexts
•Educating with the media: digital society and individual development
•Mobile Learning. Mobile learning at school and college
• Design media education paths
Teaching methods
Frontal lessons and workshops with presentation and discussion

The lessons will be in the presence (except for any new indications due to the health situation) and guaranteed the use of the material relating to the lessons and consult the slides or other teaching material from the KIRO university platform

The program will be differentiated between attending and non-attending students

Within two months after the exam date, students will be allowed to access their tests.
Assessment methods
To be admitted to the exam, students must have already passed the exam of Developmental Psychology (Psicologia dello Sviluppo).

The oral exam can be replaced (partly or totally) by the presentation – during a workshop - of a short thesis about one of the topics of the advanced modules; the evaluation of this paper will contribute to the final evaluation.

In case of non-acceptance of the result, only one possibility of refusal is granted
