Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to provide key basic concepts on hygiene, preventive medicine and public health, with particular reference their application in dentistry.
Course contents
General concepts of hygiene, preventive medicine and public health, with particular reference to their implementation in dentistry: determinants of health, levels of prevention, health promotion, health education.

Elements of epidemiology applied to the areas of interest of obstetrics: data sources and surveillance systems, measures of frequency and effect, study designs, data interpretation
Elements of health legislation, policy and management applied to the areas of interest of the dentistry.

Elements of prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases
