Prerequisites

Learning outcomes

The rational organisation of Preventive Dentistry programs. The student will acquire competences in both the theory and practice, involving paediatricians, parents and schoolteachers.

Course contents

Organisation of preventive dentistry. Education on oral health. Fluoride prophylaxis: mechanism of the action of fluoride. Methods of fluoride administration. Children's oral hygiene; sealants. Professional and domestic procedures for horal hygiene. Tooth decay alimentary prophylaxis. Cariogenic and caries-protective foods.
