Learning outcomes
The linguistic finality of this Spanish course is to develop written and oral linguistic competences and skills (level A1/A2, according to the Common Parameters Of European Linguistic References). Furthermore the course is going to provide Spanish socio-economic and cultural knowledge. The course will be divided in the three following sections: Grammar, Communication and some aspects of Economy and Marketing. The teaching will be realized by frontal lessons, grammar exercises, the reading and comprehension of texts and articles of socio-economic items in order to strengthen the learning.
Course contents
Letras del alfabeto – Fonemas consonánticos y vocálicos del español - Características articulatorias de los sonidos del español – Alófonos de los fonemas consonánticos- Pronunciación y ortografía. Diptongos, triptongos, hiatos – Reglas de la acentuación. El Artículo – El Sustantivo – El Adjetivo – Pronombres Personales Sujeto - Pronombres Personales Complemento – Demostrativos – Posesivos – Indefinidos – Usos de muy/mucho – Numerales – Relativos – Verbos auxiliares: Ser, Estar, Haber, Tener – Hay-está/n - Ser y Estar con adjetivos – Preposiciones y locuciones de lugar – Algunas perífrasis verbales - Comparativos y Superlativos - Presente de Indicativo – Verbos regulares e irregulares - Verbos diptongados - Verbos de alternancia vocálica - Verbos con cambios ortográficos Verbos con irregularidad especial - Verbos pronominales y reflexivos – Marcadores de frecuencia y de secuencia – También/Tampoco - Morfología de: Pretérito Perfecto – Pretérito Imperfecto – Pretérito Indefinido - Usos y valores de los tiempos pasados - Contrastes en el uso de los tiempos pasados – Imperativo afirmativo - Futuro Simple.

Assessment methods
Written and oral exams. For written exam, students must study grammar items, communicative functions, lexical items of the course. It is not allowed the use of the dictionary.
For oral exam, it is necessary to study grammar, communicative activities, lexical terms, socio-economic texts of Entorno Laboral, Nivel 1 (from unit 1 to the unit 11) explained during the lessons. Furthermore, it is necessary to read the book Empresas in order to be able to repeat the themes and to speak about the contents. The student should know the items of the course and should be able to interact with the teacher in the Spanish language, expressing his point of view.
Further information
Students can do the oral exam only if they have passed the written part. If students pass the written exam with a mark between 18-24, they should expose also the grammar contents in an oral examination.
