Learning outcomes
The course will give the methodological background for planning researches in the sport science area and , therefore, will add tools for the management of a study and data collection and analysis.
Students will learn how to choose the right study design, how to write a simple research protocol and, based on the type of variables selected, how to manage a new study focused on sport science.
Course contents
Epidemiological study designs for Sport Science.
Observational vs experimental studies.
Defining and controlling Bias
Observational and Experimental Research Protocol (how to write them)

Teaching methods
The plan of the course is based on academic lectures and practical sections (problem solving approach) based on case studies and new research hypotheses.
