Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student must know basical notion of obstetric pathology.
Course contents
The course is divided into 5 integrated modules: (obstetric pathology; bioethics, Pediatrics; Special obstetric nursing; free positions birth assistance);
The course of obstetric pathology and pediatrics will cover the following topics: preeclampsia and eclampsia, diabetes in pregnancy, preterm birth, prematur preterm rupture of membranes, TORCH infections, abruptio placentae, pregnancy beyond the term, twin pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, abnormal placentation, miscarriage, acute and chronic diseases in pregnancy, abnormal fetal growth, malfaormation, prenatal diagnosis, trophoblast pathology;
Teaching methods
Most of the lectures will be frontal, with interactive discussion of clinical cases.

Assessment methods
The exam is oral for the module of Obstetric Pathology and pediatrics and will focus on topics covered in the class. The student must demonstrate that he has achieved the training objectives of the course.
